Flower Annuals

Flower Annuals

  • Before Planting:
    • 3lbs per 100 Square (10′ by 10, area)*
  • When flowers start to bud:
    • 2lbs per 100 Square feet (10′ by 10, area)*
  • For warmer climates re-apply every 12 weeks:
    • 2lbs per 100 Square feet (10′ by 10, area)*

When planting flowers, consider the soil moisture, the amount of sunlight, the temperature, what colors look best, what plants to highlight, the kind of soil, the desired height of plants, and if you want to attract hummingbirds or butterflies. Choosing the right plants for the given situation plays a major role in the overall success of your garden.

For annuals, apply 3 pounds of Solid Green to 100 square feet of soil before planting. Then when the plants bud, add 2 more pounds per 100 square feet.

Perennial Application

Perennial Application

  • Before Planting:
    • 5lbs per 100 Square feet (10′ by 10; area)
  • Early Spring:
    • 5lbs per 100 Square feet (10′ by 10; area)
  • Late Fall:
    • 5lbs per 100 Square feet (10′ by 10; area)

Developing gradually, perennials require different application amounts. Before perennials are planted, add 5 pounds per 100 square feet then add that same amount in early spring and late fall. Remember, three cups of Solid Green are equal to one pound of the fertilizer.
